Jean A. Holevinski, of Canisteo

CANISTEO: Jean A. Holevinski, 93, of County Route 29, passed away peacefully Sunday evening at her home surrounded by the comfort and love of her family.

Jean was born December 10, 1923 in Scranton, Pa. to the late Malcolm and Jennie (Moyer) McCullough. On January 19, 1944 in Scranton, Pa. she married Anthony “Tony” Holevinski who survives and resides in Canisteo.

In addition to her husband Tony, Jean is survived by four sons: Robert (Ann) Holevinski of Rochester, William (Debra) Holevinski of Canisteo, David (Linda) Holevinski of Rochester and Michael (Christy) Holevinski of Texas; one daughter Linda Kyler of Canisteo; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by two brothers: Lansing and William McCullough.

Following Jean’s wishes, there will be no calling hours, however, a memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Buena Vista Wesleyan Church, 6034 County Route 69, Canisteo, NY 14823.

Memorial contributions in Jean’s name may be made to either Care First, 3805 Meads Creek Rd. Painted Post, NY 14870 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 East Henrietta Rd. Rochester, NY 14620, Att: Development Office.
