JAMESTOWN, NY – Congressional candidate John Plumb (D, Jamestown) is circulating a petition to provide help those who are care givers for their sick or elderly parents. “Right now, more than 60 million people nationwide provide invaluable care to ill, disabled or elderly family members,” Plumb wrote in the email. “They take the time to care for their loved ones even while working full-time, and often missing out on their own families. Many face decreased wages or are forced to take unpaid leave in order to meet their responsibilities, which only makes it harder to make ends meet.”
