STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – On June 27, Republicans will be primarying each other in local races in Troupsburg, Wayland, Bath, Addison, Campbell and Rathbone.
These are mostly town supervisor town board primaries, though there is a town clerk primary in Rathbone and a town highway superintendent primary in Addison.
The races which will likely get the most attention, are in Bath. That’s because of the recent Bath Town meetings where some residents have complained that their assessments are too high. In the Bath Town races, current Town Supervisor Ron Smith has opposition from Town Supervisor candidate, Republican Josh Buck. Also in Bath, there are four candidates running for two town board seats in Bath: Dustin Buck, Michael Walden, David Wagger and Incumbent William Glosick.
