It’s a program pushed by everyone from Hornell Mayor Shawn Hogan to State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and Governor Andrew Cuomo: land banks. Yesterday, Steuben County Legislative spokesperson Mary Perham says that the county legislature has approved having a county Land Bank Corporation.
The spokesperson for the county says that the Land Bank will allow for demolishing Zombie (abandoned) houses.
The program will also allow for improving the properties that are submitted to the county Land Bank board.
