Congressman Nick Langworthy came up with $1,250,000 for the Hornell Water Pollution Control Plant and $2,000,000 for Friendship water improvements and $425,000 for revamping the Allegany County Fairgrounds.
“I’m proud to secure almost $2.5 million for projects to revitalize the infrastructure and boost the economy in Allegany County,” said Congressman Langworthy. “Access to clean water is essential for public health and economic development, and this new funding for the water system in the Town of Friendship will ensure residents have reliable access to this vital resource. Additionally, the investment to improve the county fairgrounds will not only enhance recreational opportunities but also promote tourism, driving economic growth in the region. I will continue to advocate for resources that strengthen our communities and bolster the economic future of the Southern Tier.”
Also, Congressman Langworthy has been working in collaboration with local officials in Hornell to ensure that the community’s needs are heard and addressed at the federal level. This successful Community Project Funding Request is the result of the strong partnership between federal, state, and local governments in prioritizing critical infrastructure projects that benefit constituents and strengthen the region’s resilience.
