FROM CONGRESSMAN NICK LANGWORTHY: This coming week, the House will be voting on a resolution to create a task force on the July 13 assassination attempt on President Trump, in addition to multiple FY25 appropriations bills. As we look toward the future, House Republicans are focused on uniting America and pursuing common-sense legislation.
Our nation’s strength lies in our ability to work together, overcome challenges, and strive for a brighter future. We are committed to turning our country around and making the American Dream attainable once again. Together, we can ensure our communities are safe, our economy is strong, and every American has the opportunity to succeed.
We are considering four appropriations bills this week that are focused on reining in government spending and bureaucracy, and instead prioritizing the needs of the American people:
H.R. 8997 – Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025
H.R. 8998 – Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025
H.R. 8773 – Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, 2025
H.R. 9027 – Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025
From unleashing our domestic energy production to supporting the development of our rural communities, these bills are designed to strengthen our nation from the ground up. They prioritize energy independence, environmental stewardship, financial stability, and agricultural innovation. By tackling these important areas, we are creating new opportunities for American workers, American businesses, and the future success of our country.
Tomorrow, I’ll also be participating in the House Oversight Committee’s hearing with U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, regarding the assassination attempt on President Trump. This investigation has bipartisan support from the members of the committee. While we often have passionate disagreements, we are united in condemning political violence and ensuring that America will prevent such a horrific event from ever happening again. Americans have many serious questions about the historic security failures that occurred at the campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Together, we will work to provide the transparency and accountability that Americans deserve.
I also want to hear from you: Click here to let me know what you think should be asked at tomorrow’s hearing.
Lastly, as President Biden, who has lost the confidence of the Democratic party, decided not to seek re-election, I’m calling on him to resign. He’s not fit to serve as President and Commander-in-Chief, there’s no question about it. My Democrat colleagues are not surprised by this decision in the slightest; it’s been clear to the leftist ruling class in DC that the President has been suffering cognitive decline. His party’s powerbrokers have been working with the media to cover it up and lie to the American people.
Instead, his administration has been run by radical Kamala Harris, his family, and his staff. Democrats in the House and Senate are just as responsible for causing inflation to skyrocket, gas prices to reach record highs, a historic invasion at our borders that has turned every community into a border community, and America’s weakness on the world stage has plunged the world into a state of constant chaos.
The American people deserve strong leadership that will turn this country around, stop the reckless spending end inflation, make the American dream attainable again, secure our border and bring back American energy independence. It’s never been more clear that President Biden must resign.
