From Rep. Nick Langworthy’s Office:

Congressman Nick Langworthy Votes To Remove Rep. Illhan Omar Off House Foreign Affairs Committee

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, February 2, Congressman Nick Langworthy voted to condemn socialism and to remove antisemite, Congresswoman Illhan Omar off the House Committee on Foreign Affairs due to her long history of antisemitic remarks that earned a demand of an apology from members of her own party.

“With her own words, Congresswoman Omar has repeatedly demonstrated that she not only lacks the judgment to serve as an effective member of Congress, let alone the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Allowing someone who openly shares anti-Semitic statements and dismisses the worst terrorist attack on our nation’s soil to serve on the committee that deals with other nations would be an outrageous affront to our credibility on the world stage and a slap in the face to one of our nation’s greatest allies, Israel. Shame on House Democrats for appointing her in the first place,” said Congressman Langworthy.

Congressman Nick Langworthy represents the 23rd Congressional District of New York which includes Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben Counties and parts of Erie County. Visit langworthy.house.gov.
