Langworthy’s Weekly Newsletter For April 13, 2025

April 13, 2025

This week, the House of Representatives took decisive action by passing the final budget resolution—bringing us one step closer to fully enacting President Trump’s America First economic agenda. This resolution lays the foundation for historic savings of taxpayer dollars by rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse, all while protecting essential programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security for those who genuinely rely on them.

Let me be clear: this resolution does not cut a single program. It simply sets responsible topline spending levels that each congressional committee must now meet. The real work begins now—and House Republicans are ready.

With this resolution in place, we will move forward on legislation that delivers meaningful tax relief for working- and middle-class families, drives job growth, unleashes American energy development, reduces the national deficit, and permanently secures our southern border.

While Democrats continue to spread falsehoods and manufacture outrage over cuts that don’t exist, the results of President Trump’s economic policies speak for themselves: inflation is cooling, energy prices are coming down, and the March jobs report exceeded all expectations.

Due to the extended vote schedule on this critical legislation, I had to postpone this week’s telephone town hall. I will announce a new date and time shortly. As always, if you need assistance with a federal agency, please call my office at (716) 547-6844 or visit Langworthy.house.gov.

We are just getting started.

Sincerely,
Rep. Nicholas A. Langworthy

Member of Congress
