Law Enforcement Training Event At Greenwood School

October 7, 2014

CANISTEO, NY – Canisteo Police Chief Kyle Amidon says there will be a major police training schedule for the first week of November that will take place at the Greenwood school by a agency from out of state.  Police agencies throughout the area are encouraged to attend.  Also in Canisteo police Dept news the grant for bullet proof vest was approved.

The village insurance will be going up 4% to 6% from last year. Last year the insurance was $28,000. One of the main reasons for the increase is the addition of another police car in the village.

There will be a BBQ sponsored by the Canisteo Police Club next Friday in the Village Park to raise funds for the Dept. It will be pickup dinners.

Resolution was passed setting Halloween hours in the Village for Friday, Oct 31st from 6pm to 8pm.
