Lenny Caruso Honored For His Years As A HAT Bus Driver

Last night at the Hornell Common Council meeting, Mayor John Buckley announced that retiring Hornell Area Transit Bus Driver Lenny Caruso was getting a certificate of recognition from Hornell City Hall. Before Caruso took on the HAT bus driver job, he had been a longtime Hornell High School teacher and Red Raiders Varsity Baseball coach.

Caruso thanked Mayor John Buckley, former Mayor Shawn Hogan and others. “It really was a great job,” Caruso said last night. So I want to thank Mayor Buckley and Mayor Shawn Hogan, he was the one who hired me. I want to thank all the drivers and all the dispatchers, it was just great,” Caruso said. The retiring HAT bus driver also said that after teaching, it was the nicest job he had ever had.
