Bradford Man Accused of Pointing Rifle At Parked Car

BRADFORD, NY – State Troopers say that a Steuben County man from the Town of Bradford is accused of pointing a rifle at a driver sitting in a parked vehicle.

Officials report that Joseph L. Fernandes Jr., 57, was charged with menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. Fernandes is alleged to have pointed a rifle at a driver on Axtel Rd in the Town of Bradford. According to state police, Fernandes is alleged to have been in a field, adjacent to Axtel Rd, when he pointed his rifle at a subject seated in a vehicle. Fernandes was arraigned by Town Justice William Wolverton in the Town of Bradford Court, and was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Bradford Court on January 13.
