Mark Alger Is Retiring From Steuben County Manager Job

May 20, 2015

BATH, NY – Steuben County Manager Mark Alger, who has been in that job since 1984, will be retiring from his county manager’s post.  Taking Alger’s place will be Steuben County Deputy Manager Jack Wheeler.

The county manager job used to be called the county administrator.  It was in 2013, after the charter vote, that the position’s name changed to county manager.
