HORNELL, NY – Statement From Mayor John Buckley: “I’ll be introducing a resolution to the Common Council, this coming Monday, requesting that the D.O.T. include a right turn in and a right turn out, in the southbound lane of Route 36, directly to Shawmut Park. This is to access the Industrial Park. The reason behind this is to alleviate some of the traffic from the side streets, namely Adsit, Thatcher and Hornell streets, that we’ll see, when Alstom starts ramping up their business. So in summary, I’m just trying to divert some of the traffic from the side streets, on and off from Route 36.”
