HORNELL, NY – Appearing on the Newsmaker Show this morning, Mayor John Buckley said that there are plans in the works, to have to BOCES homes built, on Preston Avenue in the area where the fire was, in November of 2019. “We already have those houses in the planning stages, our Assistant Ssuperintendent of Public Works Ashley Weakland, has been busy with the design and the drawings of the structures,” said Mayor Buckley. “I have to give Ashley a lot of credit, because she actualy designs the BOCES houses. They’re not all identical, each one is a little bit different, some are one story (houses) some are two story (houses) and she does a phenomenal job with that.”
Buckley also says, that those two BOCES houses, will be built in 2022 and 2023.
