HORNELL, NY – Hornell Mayor Shawn Hogan says the new hospital building near McCauley Manor, will be bigger than the current facility on Canisteo Street in Hornell. “When you start talking about the users of the hospital and all (the people) we want to serve, you go from a 80,000 square foot hospital to a 91,000 square foot hospital,” Hogan said. “So we’re in the process of making sure that everyone’s request for space is appropriate.” Hogan also noted that it’s a very intense planning process, and that the hospital also has to go through the regulatory process of permitting.”
