Village trustee Jack Beers was presented with a plaque last night for his 21 years of work as a trustee in Canisteo. It was the last meeting for both Beers and Mayor Monica Recktenwald. Also Canisteo Fire Chief Don Lewis thanked both Recktenwald and Beers for their years of service on the board.
The Canisteo Greenwood art club is in the process of working on a mural that will be on the back of the marque downtown.
Also, Canisteo Fire Chief Don Lewis starts his new job as the Bath Village Police Chief today. Lewis said after last night’s village meeting, that he will continue on as the fire chief in Canisteo.
