Meth Arrest In Hornell

HORNELL, NY – Statement From Hornell Police Captain Mike Sexsmith:

An investigation into the sale of Methamphetamine in the City of Hornell culminated today with the arrest of a Hornell man. At approximately 5:18pm a team of Hornell tactical officers executed a search warrant at 264 High St. Apt. 201. A search of the residence yielded over 2 ounces of Methamphetamine, over $1,900 in cash, scales, drug packaging material, an imitation pistol, and a machete.
Jason A. Shinebarger age 42 of 264 High St. Apt. 201 was arrested at the scene and was charged with:
*Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (A-2 Felony)
*Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony)
*Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree (A-Misdemeanor)
*Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree (A-Misdemeanor)
*Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Violation)

Shinebarger is currently being held in the Hornell City Lockup pending arraignment tomorrow in Hornell City Court. The investigation is continuing and further arrests are expected.

The investigation was led by Sgt. Ryan Harrison and included Chief T.J. Murray, Capt. Michael Sexsmith, Officers Brett Flaitz, Stuart McHenry, J. R. Emo, Dan Murray, Seth Blanchard, Ashley Emo, Rob Donovan and Mike Losecco.
