ABC Radio News reports that Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez was killed in a boating accident over the weekend, according to reports. He was 24.
The Marlins confirmed the pitcher’s death on Sunday, saying in a statement: “The Miami Marlins organization is devastated by the tragic loss of José Fernández. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time.”
