Mike Morey To Run For Hornell Common Council

March 31, 2021

HORNELL, NY – From Republican candidate Mike Morey:

Mike Morey announces a run for Hornell’s 4th Ward Alderman on the Republican and Independent lines. A lifelong resident of the area, Mike works in technology and has spent recent years in service with the Hornell Sunday Meals program, mobile food pantry, Hornell Concern for Youth Rec Center, and Wellness respite summer camps for families with developmental needs. He brings an optimistic energy and outlook for the city’s future, and a genuine care for all residents.

The 4th Ward includes parts of the Main Street business district. “I see opportunity to foster a safer, pedestrian-friendly downtown for walkers, shoppers, and kids running home after school. I look forward to being a community voice as the city deploys our exciting $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant, and believe in common sense for our common cents. I take the time to understand the issues, and will then find cooperative fixes throughout the Ward’s neighborhoods. Simply put, I’m running to focus on local people, local issues, and our local future,” said Morey.

Voters in the 4th Ward will see Mike Morey’s name on the city alderman ballot this November.
