New Laws For 2024

December 30, 2023

One of the new laws that will go into effect on Monday, January 1 is, Early Voting by Mail. Election officials say, Early Voting By Mail differs from Absentee voting in that, with absentee ballots by mail requires a reason, such as having a disability, being out of the area on election day, military duty and so on. Whereas, early voting by mail does not require a person to have a reason to vote that way.

Other new laws that’ll start January 1: a minimum wage increase, it’s going up to $15.00 an hour, the legal age for ATV drivers will go from age 10 to age 14, and stores have to have signs up, warning customers about the possibility of their credit card numbers being stolen.
