No Tax Increase For Hornell City Taxpayers in 2015-2016 FY Budget

February 24, 2015

HORNELL, NY – The budget has been passed by the Hornell Common Council, and there was no tax increase.

The budget goes into effect on April 1.

Also passed last night by the Common Council, was the water budget, which also goes into effect on April 1, and there was no increase in the water fee either.  “We’re happy to present budgets to the Common Council that reflect hard work on the part of department heads and everyone is pulling together to do more with less and more cost-efficient and effective, and that resulted in Hornell taxpayers getting a pass this year in the City of Hornell,” said Mayor Shawn Hogan.  “There will be no tax increase this year.”
