North Hornell’s Fire Engine Public Referendum Is Being Held Today

January 6, 2025

The Village Of North Hornell is having a public referendum today. Voting started at noon and are going until 9:00 tonight. The public referendum is about whether the village board should buy a fire engine for $683,000. North Hornell Village Mayor Joe Ingalls says that might possibly make taxes go up 23 percent. However, Ingalls notes that it might be higher or lower than 23 percent, and that the North Hornell Village trustees would have to work that out in budget workshops.
