The New York Post is reporting that a teacher from Queens, NY, is claiming that the NYS Education Department is making things difficult for teachers, with the new student code that she says discourages punishment. “The kid threatened to assault me, and they’re bringing me up on disciplinary charges,” Ghastin told the New York Post. The Post also reports that the New York State Department of Education said that Ghastin will remain reassigned pending an investigation of the allegation against her.
