The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office Navigation Division is hosting a FREE one-day New York State Boaters Safety Course on Saturday, September 27. The class will be held from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office in Bath. Participants must be at least 10 years old to attend and must pass a written test at the end of the session. Seating for the class is limited to 30 persons and preregistration is required. The course is free of charge. However, New York State charges a fee of $10 for the boater’s certificate which does not expire. Head to the Steuben County Sheriff’s office Facebook page to register.
