October 26th: Allegany County Covid Update

In the United States, the COVID-19 virus has infected approximately 8.74 million people, and there have
been over 225,000 deaths. According to the New York State Department of Health COVID-19 tracker, there
have been 496,655 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 25,742 deaths statewide. As of 3:30
p.m. on October 26, Allegany County’s statistics are as follows:
Confirmed Cases: 311
Recovered Cases: 217
COVID-19 Related Deaths: 8*
Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date: 2,559
Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 2,080 (Correction of prior day’s numbers)
Currently Quarantined/Isolated: 479
Precautionary Travel Quarantines to Date: 1,130
Total COVID-19 Antibody Tests Given: 824
Total COVID-19 Antibody Positives: 46
*Nursing home numbers may not be directly reported to the Health Department.
