The Oilers added a pair of insurance runs in the 8th and held off a 9th inning rally attempt by Hornell. An error and a single by Rustin Pope (Coastal Alabama CC North) put runners at 2nd and 3rd with two outs but the Steamers could not get anything else going.

Cooper Dailey (Delgado CC) was the lone Steamer with multiple hits finishing 2 for 4 while Brehm drove in a pair. Cooper Hassall (Genesee CC) did not factor in the decision but did not allow an earned run in five innings of work. He allowed four hits, walked three and struck out one.
