O’Mara Is Condemming The Three Suspects

July 14, 2022

State Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) today released a statement condemning the actions of three Hornell residents who have been arrested for recently spreading racist and hate-filled flyers and other materials at a church, synagogue, and other public and private properties in the city.

Hornell police this week arrested and charged three individuals with 115 counts each of aggravated harassment, a felony hate crime.

In a statement, O’Mara said, “There can be no tolerance in our communities for these despicable acts of hatred, intolerance, and racism. I commend the Hornell Police Department, with the assistance of New York State Police and FBI investigators, for their swift response in finding those responsible and bringing them into custody. These individuals are a disgraceful group of three who in no way whatsoever represent the true caring, compassion, and inclusiveness that have long defined the Hornell community. They must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and I am confident they will be.”
