No lack of outages lately. There was a power outage in the early morning hours on Sunday in Penn Yan. There was also a power outage on Friday at Prattsburgh Central School. Prattsburgh school officials say in spite of that, they still had heat, food, phones, bathrooms and internet access. And as you are aware, there was going to be a scheduled power outage on Friday in Bath. Bath Electric Gas and Water tells us, that scheduled outage was called off by New York State Electric and Gas. The last update from BEGWS was Friday at 5pm when they said NYSEG wanted to avoid having an outage and BEGWS officials apologized for the inconvenience.
