Painted Post Woman Sentenced For 2019 Fatal DWI

A Steuben County Court official tells our news department the following:

Painted Post resident Tonya Smith was given 4 to 12 years on the Manslaughter 2nd Degree Conviction, 2 and 1/3 to 7 years on the Vehicular Manslaughter 2nd degree Conviction, 1 year on the Reckless Endangerment Conviction, and the sentences are to run concurrently.

There were 113 people in the court, for the sentencing, and the family made victim impact statements.

Smith was convicted recently in Steuben County Court, for the fatal DWI that caused the death of Donnie Masti of Bath.
