Palmesano: Hospital Deal is Positive News

March 5, 2015

Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R, Corning) called the news of St. James Board of Directors approving a deal with UR Medicine in Rochester “very positive news.” Palmesano says the deal is moving in the direction we were all hoping for. “With the inpatient services being included there at St. James, it’s good news for the residents, not only of the City of Hornell, but the surrounding Hornell area community. They’ll be able to provide good quality health care that the region deserves.”

Calling it a “team effort”, the assemblyman also noted that it was a pleasure to work with Mayor Shawn Hogan, Deputy Mayor John Buckley, the Hornell City Council, Senator Tom O’Mara, Assemblyman Bill Nojay, Assemblyman Joe Giglio, and Congressman Tom Reed.

Palmesano also thanked those who signed petitions and wrote letters to Albany.
