Join Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C-Corning) and his Assembly and Senate colleagues for a rural equity forum on Monday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. Rural New York is essential to our state’s economy but receives little attention from state leaders. This forum will be a discussion with stakeholders from local government, economic development, internet/broadband and energy providers, human service providers, law enforcement and education officials on different ways to help rural areas thrive, including state assistance for rural communities, rural mental health challenges and issues, expanding broadband access, rural school transportation, reducing rural poverty and the impacts of the Climate Leadership & Community Protection Act (CLCPA) mandates. All media are invited to attend and photo opportunities will be available.
