HORNELL, NY – Congressman Tom Reed was given a tour of Alstom in Hornell this morning.
Reed met with and took questions from Alstom workers, and spoke optimistically of Alstom being able to work out a deal with Amtrak, which would create hundreds of new jobs for the Hornell Alstom site. “I want you to know that we’re going to continue to fight for these contacts,” Reed told the Alstom workers present (which appeared to be most of them, it was a huge crowd.) “We’re going to continue to see Alstom’s future get bigger and brighter. I’m very optimistic about where we’re going and what’s coming up down the pipeline.”
