Public Officials Say The Eight Point Wind Project, Won’t Have Wind Turbines In Hornellsville Or Hartsville

STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – On Monday, the Steuben County Legislature voted to approve road agreements and a 20 year Payment In Lieu of Taxes for the Eight Point Wind Project, for Greenwood, Hartsville, Hornellsville, and West Union. Steuben Co legislative spokesperson Mary Perham explained that this Albany approved wind project, would have a total of 25 wind turbines.

Today, Wlea News spoke with Hartsville Town Supervisor Woodworth and Hornellsville Town Board member Ron Kennell, and they said that there would not be any wind turbines in Hartsville or Hornellsville, only transmission lines.
