Reed Takes Part in Savona And Corning Memorial Day Events

May 26, 2015

Congressman Tom Reed’s press secretary Brandy Brown noted that the congressman paid his respects to the fallen servicemen and women during memorial services in both Savona and Corning, New York. Reed participated in the 2015 Remembrance Ceremony at Savona Village Hall where he spoke to the crowd and met with a number of local veterans and their families.
“On Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on those who have laid down their lives in service to our country,” said Reed. “As a nation, we are eternally grateful to these men and women, who sacrificed all they had for our freedom.”

Later on Monday, Reed joined the Corning Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post for a tribute ceremony and path of reflection at Denison Park in Corning, where he was able to thank local veterans for their service.
“I care about those who serve. They are not forgotten and neither are their families. It’s only fair that we offer the greatest consideration to their needs and concerns,” said Reed.
