At last night’s Alfred Village GOP and Democrat Caucuses – the Republicans voted in Rebecca Hamm as head of the Alfred Republicans. Also, Stewart Yaniger was nominated to be a candidate for the Cathy Powers trustee seat, as Powers is not running again. Incumbent Meredith Field was nominated to also run as a Republican trustee. . On the Democrat Caucus, Jim Cronin was voted to run for the Cathy Powers position on the board. And Meredith Field was also nominated to run as a Democrat for trustee. Also, both the Republicans and Democrats are switching to go from having caucuses to having people sign petitions.
