STEUBEN COUNTY, NY – From the NYS DOT:
The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that a previously announced culvert replacement project along Route 54A (West Lake Road) in Urbana, Steuben County, is now complete and lane closures have been removed.
Construction began in October to replace an existing culvert along Route 54A near Glen Cove. Two-way traffic was maintained throughout the project using an alternating single-lane pattern, controlled by a temporary on-site traffic signal.
Although the project is substantially complete, additional work may take place on-site to complete the repairs. All construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
