Appearing this morning on WLEA Radio’s 1480 Club, Meteorologist Rob Carolan had a rant about his feelings about the story in the New York Post, about the National Weather Service knowingly telling New York City residents that they were going to get two feet of snow earlier this week from Stella, when, according to the NY Post, the National Weather Service knew that it would be less snow than that. Carolan spoke about an industry phrase called “wish-casting”, when weather forecasters want to have cataclysmic weather, because it’s more exciting.
