Last week, Wlea did a story about Canisteo-Greenwood football players unloading supplies from a U-Haul. Now we’re finding out that the U-Haul came in to Canisteo from Rochester, with donations from Monroe County and an organization which raised a lot of awareness about storm damage locally here in Steuben County.
The organization is called Primetime Ballers.
Primetime Ballers started in Rochester in 2005 doing basketball camps and expanded into a social media media outlet covering high school sports in the region. Primetime Ballers says, they came to Canisteo-Greenwood Central last week, in a U-Haul with 233 boxes, 166 bags and 4 SUVS filled with new bookbags, hygiene items & new sneakers and an additional 33 boxes and bags filled with donations.
Primetime Ballers also is reported to have given one of the Jasper-Troupsburg boys sports teams, $1250 cash.
