The Daily Gazette reports that New York State has been awarded some of the first federal funding from the CHIPS & Science Act. Democrat US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul say, this will boost the semiconductor industry, in New York State, by setting up Tech Hub sites around the state. Also, Senator Schumer says it will allow small-, medium- and- large-manufacturing employers to use the network of sites to launch new semiconductor companies.
