ALBANY, NY – When asked by WLEA News, State Senator Tom O’Mara agreed that the millions of dollars in grant money coming in from Albany to the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council, will only help Alstom seal the deal with Amtrak. O’Mara was thrilled that the southern tier won the statewide contest. “It really feels good to win, and hopefully that will turn the pessimism that we’ve had across the southern tier into optimism, give everybody some hope for a brighter future, to create good paying, sustainable jobs across the southern tier.”
