HORNELL, NY – Shawn Hogan, Hornell Industrial Development Agency consultant, just sent this email out to the First Street Foundation:
To whom it may concern: This will be my third attempt to contact the First Street Foundation. I have made inquiries as to a recent study you released that names the City of Hornell , New York the most flood prone City in the State of New York. I questions this and wanted to know your basis for this statement and wanted to review your methodology in making this statement. This City is protected by two Dams and a Flood Control System that runs through the City, no flood plain designations within the Corporate boundaries. The Dams are operated by the Army Corp of Engineers Baltimore District, we they ever contacted, was FEMA contacted? Did you visit this community? Did you speak with any City Officials? We have been unable to reach your organization your Executive Director`s phone number is a non-working number. We are very serious about pursuing legal action against your organization, which obviously just through reports out there to see if anything sticks. If we do not hear from you in the next 48 hours we plan legal action against your organization. This is very troubling to say the least
