Sheriff Dave Cole Is Having Memorial Services For Law Enforcement

May 1, 2015

Steuben County Sheriff Dave Cole Has Issued The Following Statement:

BATH, NY – In recognition of the National Police Week May 11th – 17th 2015, Sheriff David Cole has scheduled an area Law Enforcement Memorial Service at the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Building on Saturday May 16th 2015 at 11am. In light of recent events across the country in which law enforcement officers have been attacked, assaulted and even killed, the memorial service will serve to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice here in Steuben County and in our neighboring counties.

Sheriff Cole is establishing the Law Enforcement Memorial Service at the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety in memoriam of all fallen officers from this county and adjacent counties. All fallen officers from Steuben, Allegany, Chemung, Livingston, Ontario, Schuyler and Yates Counties will be recognized in a public service attended by active Law Enforcement executives, patrol officers, correction officers and retirees. During the ceremony, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard will present the colors, the names of all fallen officers will be read by a retired law enforcement officer and honored guests will share their thoughts on the sacrifice made by members of our local law enforcement community.

Sheriff Cole encourages all members of the public to attend and offer their respect to the law enforcement officers of our community that have made the greatest sacrifice.
