Officials say, a 41 year old woman from South Corning, came in to visit a prisoner at the Steuben County Jail yesterday, and allegedly tried to steal the coat of another person who was visiting someone at the jail. The coat is said to have had $1,000 inside one of the pockets.
The 41 year old South Corning woman was charged with 3rd degree robbery. She was arraigned and released.
