Governor Andrew Cuomo says that the Southern Tier Region (which includes Steuben County) goes into Phase 4 on Friday, June 26. However, that won’t include gyms or movie theaters.
Hornell Mayor John Buckley issued the following statement about that: “Gyms and movie theaters should be allowed to reopen under Phase 4. Gym equipment can be wiped down between users and movie theaters can easily space patrons safely apart. These businesses have been shut down long enough. I urge the governor to reconsider immediately.”
