::::SATURDAY, May 2nd:::

— Catholic Charities walk: The STEPS Anti-Poverty Walk (Steps To End Poverty in Steuben) for the Hornell area is May 2, 2015 beginning in the Center Street parking lot, Hornell. Onsite registration is 9:00-9:45 a.m., followed by welcoming remarks from 9:45-10:00 a.m. The Walk will begin at 10:00 a.m. If you are unable to walk on May 2 or at 10 a.m., you can walk on another date and/or time of your choosing. — Hornell Area Relay For Life: Bark Walk – The online registration can be found at www.relayforlife.org/barkhornellny
Registration is at 9am on May 2nd, Walk starts at 10am. There will be many vendors, demonstrations provided by Steuben County K9 Units, Prizes for pooches, and much more!

— Hornell Area Arts Council Artist Gallery located at Broadway Park: Noon until Dusk. A variety of artists will have their work displayed in an outdoor gallery setting

–Art Walk 4pm-9pm – Maps of Artist locations will be available at the Hornell Arts Center

–Orpheus Chorale under the direction of Mark A Smith, presents Brahms’ German Requiem – Time is 7:00 PM, Free admission, donations will be accepted at the United Presbyterian Church 150 Main Street Hornell. On Saturday May 2. Brahms’ German Requiem will be sung in English and accompanied by four-hand piano. (2 pianists – 1 piano) featuring Patricia Wiggers and Dr Sharon Johnson as pianists. Soloists are Carina Telesca and Boris Van Druff.

–Hornell Area Humane Society Ales for Tales pub crawl. Pre-register at Paddy’s Pub & Grill for only $10, day of the event $15. This year’s participating pubs: Cooder’s Sports Bar, Eddie’s #1 Club, Paddy’s Pub, Railhead Brewing Co., RBI, and The Max

Daze End will be performing at Seneca Road Pub (former Blue Angel) 9pm-1am

::::SUNDAY, May 3rd::::

—On May 3, 2015 at 1 pm at Maple City Bowl in Hornell, NY a Bowlathon will be held to benefit Cystic Fibrosis. Teams of 4, $20 per person. We are asking each team to provide a raffle item for the benefit. Please no alcohol or tobacco products as raffle items. Items that do really well are gift certificates/gift cards to stores..grocery, clothing, walmart etc, gas, restaurants, hair salons, and online. Also Lottery trees are a big hit. As purple represents cystic fibrosis, prizes will be given away to the people who have on the most purple, craziest purple outfit etc. We ask that all money and raffle items are to be to Jess Barber or Julie Stoner no later than Thursday April 30, 2015
