NASSAU COUNTY, NY: New York State Democratic Chairman Jay S. Jacobs has released the following statement:
“Hypocrisy, apparently knows no bounds. When the Democratic Governor of New York was accused of sexual harassment, it took no time at all for State Republican Chair Nick Langworthy and Congressman Tom Reed to mount their high horse and in the strongest terms condemn both the Governor for his actions while accusing Democrats of inaction. In spite of years of silence on the far worse allegations against Republican President Trump, on Cuomo they were loud and clear.
Well, in a world that turns out, once again, to be round, now Tom Reed has been accused of similar egregious actions of sexual harassment. When the Democratic Governor was accused, all Democrats stood up and, at the least, demanded a fair, independent investigation of one of their own. Where is Chair Nick Langworthy and his Republican colleagues now? Their silence would be deafening if it did not scream of hypocrisy so loudly.”
