FROM NYSP: On October 26, 2024, the New York State Police responded to investigate a stabbing that occurred at Groveland Correctional Facility in Livingston County. Subsequent to an altercation, one victim, Rashawn Belle, age 36, an inmate, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
This is an ongoing investigation.
