WATERTOWN, NY – State Police in the Fort Drum area report that a state trooper there was shot and killed last night, while responding to a domestic dispute near. Also shot and killed was the 27 year old wife of a soldier.
According to state police, the shooter was a Fort Drum Army Soldier.
Governor Andrew Cuomo says that the shooting of Trooper Joel Davis is a sad reminder of the risks that law enforcement face every day.
