FROM ALFRED POLICE CHIEF JOSH VANSKIVER: This is to address the growing concern over a large Police presence that was noted this afternoon at the Economy Inn Motel located on State Route 244 in the Town of Alfred. The Alfred Police Department is assisting the New York State Police and Allegany County Sheriff’s Office with an Investigation. This investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released on a later date. I want to ensure the Alfred Community that there is no public safety risk at this time. Thank you.
