FROM STEUBEN COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES DIRECTOR TIM MARSHALL: “We do not currently have any reports of Tornado Damage. Everything was radar indicated. There really was no damage reported during the Tornado Warnings which tells me it never reached the ground. As the second wave went through much of the County was affected by tree down calls. The hardest hit areas were Wayland, Fremont, Cohocton, and Howard. At one point there was 1700 customers without electric. We are currently around 800 outages. NYSEG and Steuben Rural Electric are working to finish restorations.”
